Memories
The most fond memory I had in Pi Delta Pi was when my line sisters and I planned our Probate affair. We had a sailor theme and we did a performance that was the bomb. It gave us a time to bond and it gave us time to interact with each other. The experience was enlightening and very memorable.

Creamy's RL and SL *Pets*
Blog Topic on: In SL and/or RL ... how many pets do you have, types and their names. If you don't have any SL or RL pets... why?
RL: From childhood to adulthood I have had pets that were like family members from dogs, cats to even a pony (country life) due to my Dad. Once I got married and we had a child and that meant fish, a dog and hamsters. Currently I have none - upkeep and no time for any right now.
SL: I have Swans (A Mom, Dad and baby swan), a turtle named Mr. T, two huge fish tanks with assorted fish, two birds - One named "Lucky" and the other named "Charms". Grins. In my inventory are AF dogs - all named Titus and AF cats - all named GinGin. My favorite SL pet is my (Add-on) horse named Paladin. Yes, I love horseback riding; just like i enjoy 7seas fishing. Kudos to SecondLife for the beautiful pets and the interactions that mimic RL.

My Pet
I'm not a pet person unfortunately, I'm a firm believer that if you own a pet you should take care of them as you would one of your children. So therefore in rl I don't own a pet. (sad face).

My Pets
As an adult SL & RL, I currently have no pets. The main reason why I don't have pets RL is because one of my children has severe allergies and he is allergic to just about everything you can think of. We are currently working with his doctors to get his allergies under control so that we are able to have a pet. The reason why I don't have any pets in SL is because I just don't have the time to take care of them and tend to them. When I was little I had a few pets. I can recall my favorite one was this big white cat my mom had. I think I was bout 5 or 6 yrs old. Her name was Che Che. I loved that cat and so did my mom. I remember when my mom got us shirts made with a picture of Che Che and a big pink rose it was my favorite shirt. I also remember a little hound dog we used to have. His name was Chief. Funny thing was it was our pet but my mom's neighbor kept him at her house and we would go over there to see and feed When my oldest son was about 4 I bought him a hamster. My son named him Mr. Chips cause he loved to eat chips. I'm not even going to go there on the story od what happened to Mr. Chips. :)

Ɓє тнє Ƈнαηgє ~ Ƈσммυηιту Sєяνιcє
One of the Pi Delta Pi Principles is Community Service. As I searched for pictures to represent, I came across the two of these and felt they went hand in hand.
These pictures are depictions of what community service should be about. Not court obligations, extra credits, required service learning, but because you want to be an active participant in the world around you. As shown in the second image, Gandhi said, "Ɓє тнє cнαηgє уσυ ωιѕн тσ ѕєє ιη тнє ωσяℓ∂." To me, this means that change must first begin within you and be projected through your life and actions. It is a beautiful thing when a person takes action for the betterment of themselves as well as their community. When you can inspire it within other people and/or find good people already ready and willing, along with a strong faith, mountains can and will be moved. The world can change.

~ Love ~
Love has a kindness. It is warm. It can be passionate, but also there are many forms of love. There are different levels of love. Love is thoughtful. Love is speechless. Love is special. Love is beautiful. Love is patient. Love is devoted. Love is challenging. Love is strong. Love is a feeling and/or emotion. Love is many things, but the one thing I know love is..... LOVE IS PI DELTA PI AND WE ARE LOVE.

One of the Pi Delta Pi Principals-------Respect
The Principal that i choose is respect, websters defines respect as a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements., which is true, mt definition of respect, is also love for that person, caring sbout what that person says, and feels, admiring all that they may have accomplished and learning from their wisdom, taking a page from their book to pattern your life, or goals from, respect is not something that you expect, it is something that you earn, and in tern, that same respect is given to you. A person that has gone through trial and tribulations, has traveled the roads that you are attempting
to travel can tell you many things, this is where you respect for that person comes in to play, by listening, and taking heed to what they have learned, a d using it as a building block for yourself.

~ SUPPORT~
SUPPORT one of Pi Delta Pi principles...
Being able to be there for some one to hold them up and support them in there time of need. Offering a shoulder to cry in there time of need, or even being able to help them financially. Just being a sister and supporting your sisters in any given situation. Having a good support system is always a good thing to have everyone needs one.

My Favourite Places to Visit in SL and RL
In SL, I have a few places that I frequent, but I've have to say that I love my home most of all. I have been able to configure it to be the perfect place for me, a cozy island retreat just for me. Other than that I visit Miami quite a bit or shopping areas.
In RL I do love to travel. I go back home to Trinidad as often as I can. I also visit Florida quite a bit, which is like a home away from home to me. I tend to get as close to sweet island escapes as I can.

Fav Place to go to in RL and SL and why?
I personally dont have a fav place to go to on sl yet, simply because I've barely been around. :/
In RL I'd say my Country St Lucia, I might be because I've been away for so long but something about the feeling of being in paradise tops my list.. From the Scenery to the stress free lifestyle while being there is amazing.

Blog Topic on: - Your favorite place(s) to travel to in SL and in RL? Why?
I love traveling around to new places in Second Life and have since I came into SL. I love seeing the virtual interpretations of real life. Yet just like RL, my favorite place to be in SL is my Home(s). I am blessed that my SL home(s) have always been water based with beaches or open waters. Water, the sight and sounds soothe me. My home represents the inner me and reflects my true character, values and pleasures.
In RL, being a military brat and coming from a small family yet marrying into a large one meant and means traveling around (especially to Family Reunions). I have slowed down traveling due to costs, health issues and safety risks. Yet one of my favorite places to go to is Mobile, Alabama (again on the water). It is part of my childhood into adulthood. It is the birth place of my Grandmother and Mother - both deceased. I always feel close to both of them when I go back to my roots... Home.

My Favorite Place in SL and RL
My favorite place on sl I would have to say is the Second Life Airport. It's a fun place to go if you want to ride a sl airplane. I have met interesting people. The people are friendly and its a place for me to relax and unwind.
One of my favorite places in rl to go because I have several but I think that would be Hawaii. I have been on 2 occasions and I can honestly say both times were absolutely beautiful. Visiting different islands and learning their culture and the history of the island was simply amazing. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth.

LeeLee's Travels ~ Who Am I?
My favorite place to travel to on SL is Soul Sensations. I love music and I can always count on a good vibe when going there. As far as RL goes, I am a home body. Give me a quiet corner a notepad and music and I am set. I truly live for the simple pleasures in life. The little things make me happy, the music keeps me sane. Welllll, as sane as I can be. :D

In SL I love to visit Paris and sit on the very top of the Eiffel Tower. Its very quiet and peaceful and I can just think and relax then bungee jump from the top.
In RL I loveeeeeeeee Cedar Point with my family its nothing like dare dropping rollar coasters, screaming at the top of your lungs and acting like a child with your children then eating till you cant eat no more lol. By time you get back to the hotel you pooped out and ready to take on another day of excitement! Apryl Carson

~Beautiful Place~
I love to sit and watch the water flow and her the ocean breeze. My favorite place to travel in SL is Jamaica. I get to surf, sail, swim and most of I get to enjoy all the romantic aspects with my love. One of the main reasons I like Jamaica in SL is because its a place I may never to see in my real life. I cant swim in real life so to be able to swim in SL is amazing.
In my real life I recently traveled to Chicago with my sister Lolo, We stayed the weekend and I really had a good time. The food is amazing, we ate at Portillos , we both had big beef combo doubled dipped in gravy, cheese fries, and a cake shake; simply amazing. I can not wait to be able to go again just for that. Oh I also tried the chop salad, yes mouth watering. If you ever decide to go to Chicago that is a must try .... ijs!

My favorite places...
My favorite place to go to in RL is my grandmothers house in Newburgh New York. Her house is my favorite place to go to because it is the first place that I ever can temper as a little girl that did not bring me bad memories. I went through and came through some tough things so there were always more bad memories then good. When I walked through my grandmothers door the first thing I always smelled was her cranberry cinnamon candles that she burns in her kitchen. Then u would hear her wind chimes on the front porch swinging. It just always bring a sense of comfort and relaxation. My favorite place in SL to go to is called Pillars of Hercules. This is one of the first places I ever went to when I joined SL 3 years ago. It's so beautiful and peaceful. I love the little boat ride you take into the sunshine and the little flying bike ride u take into the sky. When you reach the top of the mountain there is a little white and gold bath that u can take with that special one that has the most beautiful view imaginable: it's very very beautiful and a nice place to go.

❤ Chocolate Eggs and Me ❤
Easter Themed Blog: The PDP Hippity Hop Bunny said PIck one for yourself ... Chocolate Eggs, Jelly Beans or Boiled Colored Eggs? Which did you choose and Why?
---
I chose.... Chocolate Eggs. I am a true, die-hard *CHOCOLATE Aficionado*. I will always choose chocolate and chocolate-covered anything. Drools a little. lol. Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy Jelly beans and love me some boiled eggs especially at Easter time. I L❤VE so many things about Easter Time.... the vibrant colors, the big Sunday dinner that I will cook and the family time spent together.
I look forward to seeing what my Sisters picked from the PDP Hippity Hop Bunny's basket. So far the ones that I have read, have touched my heart. Sisters, we have a lot in common and seem to share similar childhoods and family lives. *Smiles*

Boiled Easter Eggs
I chose this topic because it reminded me so much of my mother. My mom would make sure we colored eggs every year for Easter. It was a tradition in our family to do that and it was fun. It gave my mom and me mother and daughter time. I passed the same tradition on to my son. It also reminds me of Easter egg hunts which were also fun. It's just something fun and gave us kids something to do.
~Chocolate Eggs~
Its Spring time to for the trees and flowers to bloom and weather to begin to get warm with many sunny mornings. The best part about spring is Easter Holiday and my favorite Easter treat is milk chocolate eggs. Its something about chocolate that a woman feel like shes floating on a cloud, simply amazing. When making eater baskets for my children over the years I make sure its colorful with jelly beans, green grass, colorful eggs, and I never forget the chocolate eggs, which is a special treat just for Mommy...lol! As you can see I do love my chocolate eggs ~smiles~

I love Easter time because I enjoy celebrating the life and death of Jesus and for me the best candy comes out. I am not an egg eater so I am not excited with the hard boiled eggs, can't stand the smell of the dye either lol. I love jelly beans, but only really the Just Born jelly beans. My absolute favorite though is the chocolate. I am a huge fan of the Reeses Easter Eggs. I dont care what anyone says, they don't taste the same as the regular Reeses Cups. I also enjoy the big hollow eggs and bunnies.

I chose this because it takes me back when my kids were small and they were so excited that the Easter Bunny was on its way and we would have a blast making a mess dying eggs and getting them ready so the bunny could eat his share to show that he came. Lawdddd me and rl would be sick for days after eating all those eggs. But it was worth the smile on their faces!

What does your Big Sister name mean? By Big Sister Epiphany-Rose
What does your Big Sister name mean? If you could have a 2nd Big Sister name; what would it be and why? Minimum 5 sentences.
By definition it is a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience. It also means a literary work or section of a work presenting, usually symbolically, such a moment of revelation and insight.
I wouldn't ever change my name because my mother named me. An she can see how I am truly when I come up with ideas and make them an reality.

Big Sister Buckwild
I have asked myself why I was given the name Big Sister Buckwild, and after taking a look in the mirror, I found the answer, Websters defines buckwild as meaning to be unconstrained and uncontrolled, And I am definately that at times, but always in a good way, the Urban Dictionary defines buckwild as for someone, or something to go crazy in some way, that to describes me. I am very happy with the name that was chosen for me, as I am one to speak my mind, and to not hold any punches about anything, to go buckwild and be uncontrolled. I don;t have a second choice for another name, as there is no other name that completely describes Kotton Colletti-Xue Correct.
Being Big Sister Buckwild, sets me apart from anyone else, at first I was like why can't I have
a name like refined, sophisticated, and some of the other names the others sisters carry, but i would not change my name for anything in this world, Big Sister Buckwild describes me to a T.

⊹ Big Sister Creativity
Blog Topic: What does your Big Sister name mean? If you could have a 2nd Big Sister name; what would it be and why?
---
⊹ Big Sister Creativity
Creativity..
is a phenomenon whereby something new and somehow valuable is formed. Creativity can also be defined "as the process of producing something that is both original and worthwhile" or "characterized by originality and expressiveness and imagination".
I was perfectly named ⊹Big Sister Creativity⊹ of PDP... a name that I strive to live up to in my SL. I enjoy mental stimulation and challenges that allow me to express my talents and skills. It seems to come naturally to me to decorate, to write, to promote events and to even empower others to show their creative selves.
---
If I could have a 2nd Big Sister name it would be:
⊹ Big Sister Unique
Unique..
one and only; single; sole: a unique specimen
having no like or equal; unparalleled: a unique achievement
highly unusual, extraordinary, rare, etc.:
It is believed that by virtue of everyone's DNA being different from conception that we are all "Unique". In a virtual world of copy-cats and folks trying to conform to fit in (amazing that SL mimics RL for some like that)... I consider myself ~ Unique. Yes I am a "Team-player" but I am also a drummer that marches to my own SL beats... in style, mannerisms, beliefs and lifestyle.
This saying is my favorite Motto & Creed in my SL profile:

Big Sister OutSpoken
My Big Sister name has a few different meanings to it. To this day, I still wonder why my sisters decided to name me Outspoken. I am and can be very outspoken. At times it can be a good thing and at times it can be a bad thing. If someone wants to know the truth then yes come to me cause I'm going to tell u the truth weather you want to hear it or not. It get me in trouble though cause sometimes certain things are just not for me to say and because I'm outspoken I will say something anyway. So yes (LOL) being the outspoken ones has it perks and bad things. If I could rename myself I think my name would be Big Sister Evolve. I say this because right now I'm in a place in my life where I'm evolving into a new space and mind frame. When I'm done evolving I will be a better more smarter mature person. I want to be able to tell other women my story my experiences and hopefully they will be able to evolve also.
Big Sister Refined
My Big Sister name says a lot about me, and what the first impressions of me are. It means I'm relaxed, in situations and sophisticated. In truth, this is who I am whether on SL or RL. People usually describe me as quite laid back, so it was no surprise that the sisters gave me that name at my crossing. If I had one option to change my name, I would change it to Lynx. There are two sides to me, Refined is one...but like a Lynx, that can change when provoked. Its a small but mighty animal, kind of like me. I do believe that Refined is an accurate representation of me though, so I'm glad that this Sisters saw this part of me from the very beginning.

BIG SISTER PASSIONATE
My name Big Sister Passionate means strong feelings and strong beliefs. This is one of the words that is fits me. I am naturally passionate about many things but I am most passionate about people's feelings and how people are being treated. I believe that people should be treated with humanity. I am loving and passionate.
Another good Big sister name for me would be nurturer. I am definitely a nurturer by nature, which is embedded in me quite strong. I try to support people and encourage them although lots of times I need it the most. Being a nurturer also means being caring and loving. It has several meanings but I just named a few.

Big Sister Shy
I was given the Big Sister Name shy because I tend to be A little more reserved than others. I believe Big Sister Sassy would be a perfect fit for me now.. It may seem incongruent, but that's how I am. A really shy woman when I'm still getting to know someone. Then, when I'm comfortable, I become openhearted and sassy, a little daring and amusing.

Big Sister Pleasing Rose: Defined
Pleasing Rose..this name fits me so much. I was named Pleasing Rose because of my selfless spirit, from a shoulder, to a hand, to a kind word..That is the essence of me. Roses have been known to symbolize: love, beauty, passion, devotion, among many other things. So for me, to be considered a rose is a true honor. If I absolutely had to choose my name I would be Resilient. I'd choose resilient because no matter what life has dealt me, no matter what I may ever have to go through, I will always remain true to myself. I will always be gentle and kind, I will always choose happiness. I will always make it.
~THE MEANING BEHIND MY NAME BIG SISTER SOPHISTICATED~
The name Big Sister Sophisticated was chosen for me, I believe I recognized for my skills in fashion. I carry myself like a lady in public at all times. Sophisticated means having, revealing, or proceeding from a great deal of worldly experience and knowledge of fashion and culture. Which I think describes me in a nut shell. On the Urban side of things sophistication is a mix of knowing when a joke's over, caring somewhat about the consequences of your actions, talking about something of reasonable importance, having a good dose of common sense, not letting your immediate reactions control your life, knowing how much information is TOO much information, and not wearing wearing your jeans lower than your underwear.
If I could choose and 2nd name it would Big Sister Classy Diva because I am most definitely Classy and a Diva. I cherish my knowledge of knowing how to look and act like a lady.

Seeing *PINK and SILVER*
Blog Topic: The PDP Colors are Pink and Silver... Which one is your favorite or is it a tie? Why?
It is a Tie for me. I love both colors and can't even pick one over the other. I love the soft pink color that makes me think of Bubblegum, lollipops and soft slippers. I love the shiny silver color that makes me feel sexy thus I wear silver for my jewelry accessories .. bracelets, anklets, earrings, necklace even my wedding ring. Both colors combined look fantastic... our paddles, scepter, jewelry and clothing really stand out. Both colors radiate confidence, femininity, strength yet softness. Pink is flirty, sexy, alluring and fun. Silver is stable, smart and erotic. Pink and Silver colors worn together or alone truly reflect... Me.

WHAT IS MY FAV COLOR SILVER OR PINK
Hello sisters, my favorite color would be silver, there is a certain glisten to the color silver, shine bright, like a diamod, my car is silver, i prefer platinum bling in my rl life as well as my second life. I feel like the color silver shines brightest over anything you can wear, if i go out i like to wear grays or anything close to silver, to me it is majestic. if there were anything else i would say about the color silver, it would be that you can wear anything with it, accessorize anything to fit silver. i love the pi delta pi colors, but silver would be my fav.

I love pink cause it defines romance and we all love romance. Pink has always made me feel pretty. When I look at pink, I think of innocence, gentleness, calmness, and babies.
Pink is calming in soft tones. Very gentle and soothing.

Loyalty
To me loyalty is one of the most important parts of a relationship. It means sticking it out until the end. Loyalty is being that ride or die friend, or family member. To me it means never turning you back on the people that you love, despite a rough situation. Loyalty means, always remembering you allegiance to your people, and never forgetting to put your love for them before yourself. It is giving of yourself even when it is difficult.

what is loyalty
Hello Sisters, this is Buckwild.....what is loyalty, loyalty to me is holding true to yourself and your sisters, or whomever you claim to be loyal to. loyalty is being there for that person, no matter what is going on, if that person tells you something in confidence, you keep it, and hold it to your heart as close as you hold your friendship and loyalty to that person, being in sl, has shown me the loyal and the dis loyal, being in a Sorority shows you loyalty and how other ppl can show their loyalty to you. love my pdp sisters and my loyalty is only to my studband, family, and my Sorority.

Loyalty to me means being supportive of a individual. Always being there when they need you and during a time of need. Loyalty is being devoted to another or something. Standing in unity together never leaving but always being with or for. Loyalty is very important when you have a Sisterhood like ours. It means standing together no matter what, even when the chips are down. Always stand with your sister, and be there when she needs you and even when she doesn't. Being loyal is a hard job for some, but easy for others who truly understand the meaning of the word LOYALTY.

♥·.·´¯`·.·♥Loyalty♥·.·´¯`·.·♥
Loyalty means to me being there for my sisters in a time of need no matter what I may be doing at the moment...keeping it real at all times with my sisters not telling them what they want to hear BUT what they need to hear and I expect the same. Having my sisters back when she is in the right but also telling her when she is wrong. If they are going through something I am going through it with them.
~LOYALTY~
Loyalty is state of being loyal being truly committed to someone or something. One being faithful to a cause or organization. In Pi Delta Pi one of our principles is Loyalty, one must be true to thyself as well as our Sisterhood in order for us to trust that you will help us strive for greatness so we can grow and prosper.

~[ LOYALTY ]~
Blog Topic: Loyalty ... What it means to you and what it should mean in a Sorority.
The best definition and/or reflection of loyalty is faithfulness or a devotion to a person, country, group, or cause. Being loyal involves truly giving oneself to only that one person or group or cause. This is not straddling the fence or jumping ship at the first signs of trouble. Loyalty should hold fast in bad times and good times.
Loyalty is a rare thing these days when people feel they have more options (groups, places, Sororities/Fraternities) to hop to and from without consequences. Loyalty should be earned and once earned should be rewarded with faithfulness, honesty and valiant efforts.
Loyalty should be constant and not wavering.
My *loyalty* is my bond to my Sorority and to my Sisters.

Black History Fact
Estevanico, a Negro from Morocco, was one of a party of four to cross the North America continent in 1536 for the first time. The journey took nine years. In 1539 he headed an expedition that discovered Arizona and New Mexico. Estevanico's travels served to open up the Southwest and the States West of Florida, as far as the Pacific.
Jan Ernest Matzeliger, a Dutch West Indian Negro living in Lynn, Mass., invented the first machine for sewing the soles of shoes to the uppers. This invention which was eleven years in the making, revolutionized the industry and gave shoe supremacy to the United States. It made several millionaires, one of whom left $ 4,000,000 to Harvard University. Overwork and privation hastened Matzeliger to his grave in 1889 at the age of 37. He left a few shares of stock to a white church, which later saved it from being sold for debt.

Madam C. J. Walker
Born: December 23, 1867
Birth Place: Delta, Louisiana
Born on December 23, 1867 in Delta, Louisiana, the daughter of Owen and Minerva Breedlove. Her parents were former slaves working as sharecroppers and both died during Sarah's early childhood. As a result, Sarah was forced to move from one household to another. At age seven, she moved in with her sister Louvina and her husband. After suffering abuse from Louvina’s husband, Sarah ran away and married Moses McWilliams 1885 at the age of 14, two years later She gave birth to her daughter Lelia, Her husband Moses was murdered by a White lynch mob.
After this tragedy, Sarah moved to St. Louis Missouri with her daughter, where she worked as a cook and house cleaner. Unfortunately, all of the stress and hardship had begun to take its toll on her and she found her hair falling out. She tried several products which all seemed not to help her condition. Sarah soon had a dream where she was told to mix her business, selling hair products to Black women.
In 1905 Sarah moved to Denver Colorado after the death of her brother. She had a dream and was told what to mix up for her hair. Some of the remedy was grown in Africa, but I sent for it, put it on my scalp, and in a few weeks my hair was coming in faster than it had ever fallen out.” After she shared her formula with some friends and found it successful for them as well, she realized that there were almost no hair products available for Blacks. She therefore decided to go into brother, to live with her sister-in-law. When she arrived she had only $2.00 to her name yet she worked during the day as a cook in order to finance her part time business. At this point she met Charles Joseph “C.J.” Walker, a newspaperman with an innate ability for marketng. On January 4 1906 she married Walker on and the couple set up the “Madam CJ Walker Manufacturing Company” and began placing advertisements in Black newspapers throughout the United States. Although they proved a successful team, they disagreed as to how much the company should grow. After years of struggling and suffering, Sarah wanted her company to grow immensely and divorced him in order to devote herself to the business (he stayed on as a sales agent for the company.). She continued on with many of the ideas he had passed on to her, including going door-to-door to sell the products. Her hard work paid off and in 1906 she brought her daughter Lelia, a recent college graduate, in to manage the company.
I admire Madam C.J. Walker for her invention of black hair products for black women, because of her we all can have beautiful healthy hair. I has shown us as Black women we too can be successful in any and all we do.

Muhammad Ali (/ɑːˈliː/ born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr.; January 17, 1942) is an American former professional boxer, generally considered among the greatest heavyweights in the sport's history. A controversial and polarizing figure during his early career, Ali is today widely regarded for the skills he displayed in the ring plus the values he exemplified outside of it: religious freedom, racial justice and the triumph of principle over expedience. He is one of the most recognized sports figures of the past 100 years, crowned "Sportsman of the Century" by Sports Illustrated and "Sports Personality of the Century" by the BBC.
Born Cassius Clay, he began training at 12 years old and at the age of 22 won the world heavyweight championship in 1964 from Sonny Liston in a stunning upset. Shortly after that bout, Ali joined the Nation of Islam and changed his name. He converted to Islam in 1975.
In 1967, three years after winning the heavyweight title, Ali refused to be conscripted into the U.S. military, citing his religious beliefs and opposition to American involvement in the Vietnam War. The U.S. government declined to recognize him as a conscientious objector, however, because Ali declared that he would fight in a war if directed to do so by Allah or his messenger (Elijah Muhammad). He was eventually arrested and found guilty on draft evasion charges and stripped of his boxing title. He did not fight again for nearly four years—losing a time of peak performance in an athlete's career. Ali's appeal worked its way up to the U.S. Supreme Court, where in 1971 his conviction was overturned. The Supreme Court held that, since the appeals board gave no reason for the denial of a conscientious objector exemption to petitioner, it was impossible to determine on which of the three grounds offered in the Justice Department's letter that board had relied. Ali's actions as a conscientious objector to the war made him an icon for the larger counterculture generation.
Ali remains the only three-time lineal World Heavyweight Champion; he won the title in 1964, 1974, and 1978. Between February 25, 1964 and September 19, 1964 Muhammad Ali reigned as the Undisputed Heavyweight Boxing Champion.
Nicknamed "The Greatest", Ali was involved in several historic boxing matches. Notable among these were the first Liston fight, three with rival Joe Frazier, and one with George Foreman, where he regained titles he had been stripped of seven years earlier.
At a time when most fighters let their managers do the talking, Ali, inspired by professional wrestler "Gorgeous" George Wagner, thrived in — and indeed craved — the spotlight, where he was sometimes provocative, frequently outlandish and almost always entertaining. He controlled most press conferences and interviews, and spoke freely about issues unrelated to boxing. He transformed the role and image of the African American athlete in America by his embrace of racial pride and his willingness to antagonize the white establishment in doing so. In the words of writer Joyce Carol Oates, he was one of the few athletes in any sport to "define the terms of his public reputation."

Black History Fact
Kwame Touré, once known as Stokely Carmichael (June 29, 1941 – November 15, 1998), was a Trinidadian-American activist active in the 1960s Civil Rights Movement, and later, the global Pan-African movement. Growing up in the United States from the age of eleven, he graduated from Howard University. He rose to prominence in the civil rights and Black Power movements, first as a leader of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), later as the "Honorary Prime Minister" of the Black Panther Party, and finally as a leader of the All-African Peoples Revolutionary Party.
I loved learning about this figure because I never knew that any notable black activist came from m country of origin. It made me proud to learn that my little island contributed significantly to such a large and important movement.

The Importance Of A Sister
A sister is someone who loves you from the heart,
No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart.
She is a joy that cannot be taken away,
Once she enters your life, she is there to stay.
A friend who helps you through difficult times,
Her comforting words are worth much more than dimes.
A partner who fills your life with laughs and smile,
These memories last for miles and miles.
When she is by your side, the world is filled with life,
When she is not around, your days are full of strife.
A sister is a blessing, who fills your heart with love,
She flies with you in life with the beauty of a dove.
A companion to whom you can express your feelings,
She doesn't let you get bored at family dealings.
Whether you are having your ups or downs,
She always helps you with a smile and never frowns.
With a sister you cannot have a grudge,
She is as sweet as chocolate and as smooth as fudge.
Having a sister is not just a trend,
It is knowing you can always turn to her, your best friend.
I thought this one defined us well

Sisters
A sister is a best friend that you keep forever
She is your permanent shoulder to lean on
I would like to tell you now
My sister
How well you have filled the role
And how I hope and try my best to give you
The same unconditional love that you have given me
Throughout the years of our lives
I don't know what I would have done without
You
After all, every girl needs a best friend,
A confidant,
And someone that they can count on
No matter what.
Thank you for being that person.
She is your permanent shoulder to lean on
I would like to tell you now
My sister
How well you have filled the role
And how I hope and try my best to give you
The same unconditional love that you have given me

Sister Poem: Appreciation
I Appreciate my Sisters
{a Poem Modified by me ~ Unknown Author}
I just want you to know...
that you mean the world to me (SL & RL).
Only a heart as dear as yours...
would give so unselfishly.
The many positive things you've done...
all that times that you were truly there;
helps me to know deep down inside,
how much you really care.
Even though I might not daily say it...
Sisters, I APPRECIATE all that you do.
Richly blessed is how I feel,
having Sisters like you is the real deal.

Sisters in the beginning, friends 'til the end
The keeper of my secrets, the sharer of my dreams, the one who's always on my side. With a sister, you can speak without words, cry without reason, and laugh like crazy until your stomach hurts. A sister undertands your moods when no one else does. She rejoices with you in the good times, and understands how your heart aches when life doesn't go your way. Sisters are for late night talks, pedicures & makeovers, and for loving you and your craziness. Whether near or far apart, sisters are always close in heart.

ღWhat is Sisterhoodღ
Sisterhood is not just the combination of Greek letters the beauty of crimson and cream
it's about friendship and trust sharing hopes and dreams
it doesn't lie in the depths of pledges, songs and played parts
it's what lies deep within the depths of our hearts
for each other growing together becoming strong, as one
helping each other, building each other to withstand and overcome
supporting your sister when she is in need
wiping her tears and easing her pain when she bleeds
being a shoulder to lean on in times of despair
letting her know that you'll always be there
sisterhood is not just strolls and dancing at parties the fun you have at step shows
it's the warmth and affection you have for each other and the relationships that grow
it's the tug at your heart when she's going through
it's you doing what you can do to help her pull through
sharing her burdens and easing the load she may bare
it's about being consistent and showing your care
it doesn't lie in the depths of pledges, songs and played parts
it's what lies deep within the depths of our hearts
for each other growing together becoming strong, as one

sister poem
The Woman I call Sister
Is someone who is there
The Woman I call Sister
Is someone who is always there
The woman I call Sister
Can make me smile when times are blue
The Woman I call Sister
Is someone very true
The woman i call sister
By choice is my best of friend
The Woman I call sister
wll be there til the very end
The Woman I call sister
Is the Blessing from God above
The woman I call Sister
Is the sister I will always love
Is someone who is there
The Woman I call Sister
Is someone who is always there
The woman I call Sister
Can make me smile when times are blue
The Woman I call Sister
Is someone very true
The woman i call sister
By choice is my best of friend
The Woman I call sister
wll be there til the very end

WHY DID JOIN THE GREEK LIFE
I joined the Greek life in SL........because i felt the need to want to be a part of something bigger than myself, to be a representation of an organization, that was dedicated to doing things for others and the community. I feel like being a part of a Sorority is an empowering experience, it allows you to embark on a journey of sisterhood like none you have experienced before, being with your sisters, doimg things that mke everyone as a group feel better about themselves and the people around them.
It allows you to find hidden talents in leadership, and other things that benefit the group as a whole.
Being in the Greek life has made me a more out going person, opened me up to meeting new ppl, and participating in things that I otherwise probably would not do. I LOVE MY SORORITY AND THE SISTERS IT CONTAINS, PI DELTA PI FOR LIFE, and when i m done playing this game we call SL, i will alwys remember the bonds i formed, the friends and accomplishments i made.

GREEK LIFE!!
I had my first child in my teenage years, being a young mother I chose to attend a community college; hard as it was being a young mother in college it would have been even harder adding on the challenge of being in sorority. So when I joined secondlife and realized the different sororities, I wanted to feel apart of a sisterhood so I decided to pledge a sorority. I found my Greek home as a Pi Delta Pi Sister. One thing I love most about being a Greek is being apart of charitable events that PDP offers and also supporting other Greek sororities and frats.

Going GREEK...

Why did you want to join the Greek life? What is your favorite thing about being Greek?
In RL, the GREEK life was very appealing and enticing to me. I had a lot of exposure to (Sisterhoods, Networking within the GREEKs, GREEK Open-House & Socials, GREEK Charity Fund-raisers / Awareness Rallies and GREEK step-shows) all of which enriched my college experience. My favorite part was the GREEK live Step-Shows by both the Fraternites & Sororities.. indoors or the out-door Block Party ones. Good times, Good times.
In SL, I get to again enjoy the virtual GREEK lifestyle and all that it entails such as setting the event up, dressing up and then seeing the faces of other GREEKs as they tp in. Being SL GREEK enhances my SL experiences in positive ways.
My favorite thing about being SL GREEK.. is bonding with my Sisters and having fun during our and other Soro/Frat events.

My New Year's Resolution
I really don't like to make new years resolutions cause I feel like people make them to break them. We as people tend to go on making these big promises and then three weeks after they are not in affect. With that being said I made some realistic goals for myself for 2015. This year for me will be all about growing. I will learn to love myself better and more. I'm going to care for myself more, and make sure that I am together mentally spiritually and physically. My relationship with God is the most important. I'm going to establish and obtain a steady relationship with God.

My Sisters
Sisters
What can I say about them?
I have one
But, she loves me so much
Yes, we fight
But, in the end we are always there for each other
We may say we hate each other
And we do that a lot
But that's just because sisters are forever
Whenever Im sad my sister is there
Whenever Im mad my sister is there
whenever I need my sister she is there
And right now
She needs me
She just had a baby
She was three months early
We were are scared
We didn't think she would live
But she did
She is a healthy little girl
She is beautiful, Smart, and Pretty
Just like her mommy.
I love my sister I really do.
She loves me too.
I have my have other 'sisters' in my life
But no one can take the place
Of my real sister
She is the reason I like to make new friends
She is the reason Im not shy
She is the reason Im who I am today.
No one can see how much I love my sister
She is my other half
We talk about everything
She helps me throw the rough times
And I help her
I don't like to see my sissy crying
It makes me sad
She is beautiful
Why should she cry?
That's right
Because people tell her she should do something
That she doesn't want to do
Like drop out of school and move in with her boyfriend
So, they can take care of their kid
But, she doesn't want to do that
She wants to finish school
She want to get good grades
She want to finish high school with her friends
And that's what she is gonna do
She is gonna stay in school
And stay with my family
She is my sister
And she always will be
Even if we are split apart
She will always be my sister
She is my world
My bestfriend
My sister
And I never want anything to happen to her. <3

MY SISTER MY FRIEND
To me you are an angel in disguise.
Full of intuition, intelligent, and wise.
Always giving and helping through
Good times and bad.
You are the best friend I've ever had.
If I had one wish it would surely be
To give you as much as you've given to me.
Though I've put our relationship through some cloudy days,
You've been my sunshine in so many ways.
Through trials and tests, right by me
You stood,
And gave me your hand whenever you could.
Thank you so much my sister, my friend
My gratitude for you has no end.
Full of intuition, intelligent, and wise.
Always giving and helping through
Good times and bad.
You are the best friend I've ever had.
If I had one wish it would surely be
To give you as much as you've given to me.
Though I've put our relationship through some cloudy days,

And gave me your hand whenever you could.
Thank you so much my sister, my friend
My gratitude for you has no end.

Sisters 4 Life
Sometimes we stand outside life Waiting for a door to open to us Hoping the person behind that door Will let us in and be our friend I was once on the outside Until a door opened to me and Behind it I found not only a Friend, but a new world- a sisterhood- Now I stand behind that door- on the inside Helping to open it for someone else Who stands where I once stood. ~ Linda Parks
