Ɓє тнє Ƈнαηgє ~ Ƈσммυηιту Sєяνιcє

One of the Pi Delta Pi Principles is Community Service. As I searched for pictures to represent, I came across the two of these and felt they went hand in hand.

These pictures are depictions of what community service should be about. Not court obligations, extra credits, required service learning, but because you want to be an active participant in the world around you. As shown in the second image, Gandhi said, "Ɓє тнє cнαηgє уσυ ωιѕн тσ ѕєє ιη тнє ωσяℓ∂." To me, this means that change must first begin within you and be projected through your life and actions. It is a beautiful thing when a person takes action for the betterment of themselves as well as their community. When you can inspire it within other people and/or find good people already ready and willing, along with a strong faith, mountains can and will be moved. The world can change.
